About Sharon Koys – MA, ASIPP, NCCPA

Physician Assistant

In 2005 Sharon Koys received a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University after completing an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her first specialty as a physician assistant was in hematology/oncology, initially in private practice and then at the University of Chicago.
In August of 2010 she joined Pain Specialists of Greater Chicago and continues to provide care and education to patients with chronic pain. Her work ethic, intellect, dedication and compassion help her to contribute to the pain management team. She earned an Associate Certification in Controlled Substance Management from the American Association of Allied Interventional Pain Management Professionals in 2011.

She is NCCPA certified and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP) professional organizations.

Sharon has been involved in and supports many volunteer organizations such as School on Wheels (Adult English literacy program) and Community Nurse Health Association.
